FAQ and Information for Beta Testers

What is MiScore Beta?

MiScore Beta app is a new and improved version of the current MiScore app conceived exclusively for testing purposes. This means some of the features and novelties in Beta might end up being released publicly and others, might take a different shape or not even be released at all.
Due to its testing objectives, Beta app is not publicly available, nor a fully-fleshed, completely operational product and it might present some flaws and inconsistencies. That’s why we have arranged a cohort of Beta Testers, amongst our current app users, who will be exposed to this app version with the main objective of feeding us back on their experience with it. Their feedback will be critical in shaping the future of MiScore.

Who can access Beta to test it?

Access to Beta has been only granted by direct invitation to a representative group of MiScore users (Beta Testers) who have willingly registered for the Beta Testing Program.

We have currently closed registrations for Beta Testing however, we might open new spots for additional tester participants. If you genuinely want to become a Beta Tester yourself, please reach out to our Beta Testing Team to express your interest at miscorecanaryreview@miclub.com.au.

We anticipate more and more frequent initiatives like this one in the future, where we directly engage with our users to gather their feedback and inform product decisions. If you are interested in participating on user research activities and influence the future of our products, please get in touch with our User Experience Team

When does the Beta testing period start?

The testing period for MiScore Beta starts at the end of November 2025. The exact day will be announced privately to registered participants in the Beta Testing Program only.
If you registered into the Beta testing Program and by December 1st 2025 have not received any communication from us to access Beta, please reach out to our support team.

How long does the Beta testing period last?

Its duration might vary depending on the volume of feedback received from our testers amongst other considerations. However, we do not plan to extend Beta testing too far into 2026 - our initial plan is to test for 10 weeks from the Beta testing activation day. That’s why we’d like to encourage tester participants to send us as much feedback as possible during that timeframe: all your reports and participation are invaluable and will contribute to the improvement of MiScore.

If you have any questions about the Beta testing program and its duration, please contact our team at MiScore [email].

What if I want to switch back to the current app version while on Beta?

If you wish to immediately revert to the current app version while testing on Beta, tap on the menu icon on top left of the app screen and select the option “Exit Beta testing”.
You can always switch back to Beta again by following the instructions on section “How to access MiScore Beta?”.

In the event that you cannot possibly revert the app back to its current version while using Beta, please contact our Beta Testing Team at miscorecanaryreview@miclub.com.au.

How can I report an urgent issue while using Beta?

Reach our Beta Testing Team directly if you experience a major issue while using the Beta version, especially any of the following:

  • App crash or screen freeze while using.

    1. Loss of round data while scoring.

    2. App not launching or stuck in loading mode.

    3. Unexpected error messages.

Please remember that MiScore Beta is a testing product, not a fully-fleshed, commercially viable one. It’s recommended to exercise caution while testing and always have alternative means available to recover your data in case of failure.
We encourage testers to carry a physical scorecard as a backup method while scoring with Beta.

Useful tips for Beta Testers

  • Get familiar with it first
The Beta version offers a completely refreshed and improved interface, different from the app you are used to. Once you access it, consider spending a few minutes getting yourself familiar with the changes - locating where things are and how they work. Preferably do this before you are already in the course and try to score with Beta for the first time.

  • Report now, on the spot
There’s no such thing as too much feedback you can send us! You have a key role in helping us improve Beta so, the more, the better. As a rule of thumb, report any issues you might experience right when they happen, using the quick Beta Feedback form. Do not wait to report issues later on - it’s easier to recall what has happened and describe it to us when it’s recent and fresh in your mind, rather than trying to remember what went wrong on the next day.

  • Tell us how we could improve
Aside from reporting any issues you might encounter while testing Beta, we are very keen to hear your thoughts on how we could help improve your golf practice with MiScore. If you have any ideas that could benefit you or other golfers like you, please let us know!

  • Exercise caution and discretion
We insist on reminding our testers that Beta it’s not a finished app nor it’s of public domain. As a Beta tester you not only have an important role to perform in helping us make MiScore the best it can be, but also the responsibility to be mindful and discreet about it as per the product acknowledgement and confidentiality clauses you agreed on when you registered in the Beta Testing program. You can review the full Beta Test Agreement here.
Technical issues can occur while you are using and testing Beta and, in some exceptional cases, these might involve data-loss. We advise to always carry a physical scorecard with you or any other means to backup your scoring records while testing Beta.
Please reach out to our team if you experience any major issues.

  • Share your joy with us
We all appreciate a little pat sometimes! If you are enjoying MiScore Beta, we’d love to hear about your experience - tell us what you are loving from it and where are we making a positive impact. This helps our team to acknowledge if we are going into the right direction.
Use the Beta Feedback form to send us a general feedback note.
